Our experience and background in psychology gives us deep understanding and training in human behavior, motivation, and change. In life coaching, we use that expertise to support growth, goal setting, and life transitions and not mental health diagnosis or treatment. Therapy focuses on clinical concerns and is often insurance-covered; coaching focuses on forward-looking personal and professional development, often not covered by insurance.

Preparation is optional. Some clients find it helpful to reflect beforehand on their goals, relevant topics, or recent experiences, but there is no need to prepare anything or create an agenda. The most valuable thing you can bring is your full presence. You may also want to have a notebook on hand to capture insights, increase retention, and jot down any “homework” or action items that come up during the session.

Coaching is a collaborative and goal-oriented process that supports clients in achieving personal growth. This may include areas of stress management, transitions, goal-setting, building self-awareness and emotional resilience, clarifying personal values, and learning and practicing new skills.
Psychotherapy is focused on treating symptoms related to a diagnosed mental health disorder.
Psychotherapy and crisis intervention services are not provided, though a referral will be made if another service is deemed necessary as a replacement or supplement.

Clients are required to provide a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Clients will still be charged for the session if they cancel without adequate notice or do not show up to session, except in an emergency.

We only provide one-on-one sessions to adults.

The number of sessions is variable based on individual needs and progress. On average, clients attend 10 - 12 sessions.

Sessions are usually scheduled as weekly or every-other-week. “Maintenance” sessions tend to be once per month.
